The Exhibition

In 2010 Vancouver hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Vancouver Artist Trading Card Group celebrated its 10th anniversary with a giant ATC exhibition and trading session. All the cards received were exhibited in March 2010 and traded on the closing night of the show.

Suggested themes were friendship, solidarity, peace, fair play, optimism, inspiration and empowerment. Other possible themes include “personal best” or “10″.

To enter, artists submitted 9 standard size ATCs in a clear 9 card sleeve and included a self addressed return mailing label with $3 (CANADIAN postage, US currency) or an International Reply Coupon.

The exhibit was open to anyone from any part of the world. All cards were traded at the end of the show (March 21, 2010) and each participant (who included funds for return postage as specified above) received 9 assorted cards in return.

132 artists from five different continents submitted over 1000 ATCs for the exhibition. The cards demonstrated a wide range of styles, media and techniques.
